This is Voco Point as we knew it in the seventies before the collapse.

Pic taken from forecourt of old Yacht Club - Jon on left with Bill Stuart, then LGFC Weighmaster (I believe from birth of the club until he went finish in 1978-80? when he handed over to Ian Bull). Tied to the wall is John's boat Pequod and behind her is the club's dredge (probably manned by Bob Petersen). On the wall on the left, is that a young Ken Harris?

The dredge kept a narrow strip of water navigable against the wall - at low tide you could walk down the ramp and straight across onto Voco Point in water no more than two feet deep.
