Rules & By-Laws
The capture of fish & recording of such captures are strictly governed by the Rules of the International Game Fishing Association (IGFA) and the Constitution and By-Laws of the Lae Game Fishing Club as amended from time to time.
The current Rules of the IGFA may be accessed here (on the IGFA Website).
The LGFC Constitution is posted here. This version is dated 1995 and is not guaranteed to be 100% current. We are searching our records for any amendments that may have been made since then and will update if any are found.
The LGFC By-Laws valid from June 05, 2006 are posted here. There are two Appendices - 1. Capture Certificate Form & 2. IGFA Rules.

It should be noted that the rule permitting any financial Full member to weigh fish was amended effective July 1, 2004 - in order to qualify to witness weighing fish from this date members are required to attend a club Weighmaster's Course (a copy of the Course notes is available on the 'Where-Why-How' page) and receive a certificate from the Club's Weighmaster. The first course was run on May 22, 2004, and further courses will be run according to demand. Members wishing to become registered Weighmasters should advise the Hon. Secretary.
