Weekly Fishing Report
24/05/2004 to 30/05/2004
We have no fish recorded during the week. But the sun was shining on Saturday and no fish recorded. Nevertheless, when Sunday came round the rain set in and made it a bleak old day for fishing. Yet again, You just can not stop the keen fisherman and Women we have in our club. Just a reminder we are at the end of the month and we only have one month of this year fishing time left. On the 12th, 13th and 14th of June we have our Mobil Comp for the month and the scoring will be the best two days fishing out of the three. I hope to see everyone out having a go it will be fun and the last one for the fishing year.

Reel Estate sat up in the Buso River or B4 on the grid reference. Looking at the capture certificates I think between Reel Estate and Ratchet, they must be working in a team. Why you might ask???? Both boats landed fish all day in the same area. Theo Pelgen weighed in five Skipjack Tuna. The largest was 2.02kg on 6kg line class, plus two Giant Trevally the biggest one weighing in at 4kg on 6kg line class, also a Queenfish weighing in at 1.9kg on 6kg line class and four tagged and released fish - Theo well done. Daphne Pelgen weighed three Giant Trevally the largest weighing 4.5kg on 6kg line class. Daphne also tagged and released five Skipjack, well done Daphne. Gary Wong was out fishing and managed to bring home six Skipjack Tuna the biggest one weighed 2.2kg on 4kg line class. Gary weighed a NB Mackerel weighing 3.6kg on 6kg line class. Well done Gary.

Ratchet was out in the rain also on Sunday. As I said before I think these two boats must work as a team or fight over the same fishing areas. All the fish caught on Ratchet were caught near the Buso River or B4 on the grid reference. Andrew Smits weighed in five Giant Trevally the heaviest weighing in at 4.5kg on 3kg line class. Three Mackerel the biggest weighing in at 4.7kg on 3kg line class, and six Skipjack Tuna the largest weighing in at 2.4kg on 3kg line class. Ron weighed three fish one Giant Trevally weighing 3.8kg on 4kg line class and two Skipjack Tuna the biggest one was 2.3kg on 3kg line class. Well done to both of you.

NuzuNuzu was fishing up in the Buso River with Reel Estate and Ratchet. I know that they had a bit of fun with boats running over lines. But it didn’t stop them from landing fish. Cathy Kenward weighed in four Skipjack Tuna the heaviest weighing in at 2.34kg on 3kg line class. Well done Cathy.
Well that is all for this week hope you enjoy the report.
