Weekly Fishing Report
09/05/2004 to 16/05/2004 Coca Cola Comp
Well what a week, the rain still hanging round. It makes the fishing on the weekends, just that little bit more interesting. There is a lot of muddy water hanging around. Yet, the fish still were biting. Sunday saw us with a nice sunny day. Quite a lot of boats went out and had ago this weekend for the Coca-Cola Comp. There were no fish through the week.

● Real Estate was the first to weigh in fish for the Coca-Cola Comp. They had three anglers on board Theo Pelgen, Daphne Pelgen and Gary Wong. Gary Wong was a bit sore and sorry after landing two sharks one was 27kg caught on 6kg line class, Three Skippys and a yellowfin Tuna. Daphne Pelgen weigh in three fish, two skippys and a yellowfin Tuna. Only the yellowfin was a scorer, it weighed 2.58kg caught on 6kg line class. Very well done to everyone.
● Saturday also saw Piranha go out for a days fishing. Two anglers weighed fish, Melvin Ghwee and Chris Leo. Melvin weighed in a whaler shark 7.67kg caught on 8kg line class. Well done for ruffing it out there.
● Also saw Satisfaction out there and Louise Franklin Tag and released a sailfish estimated weight 30kg on 8kg line class, and a Wahoo weighing 6.16kg caught on 15kg line class. Well done Louise. John Cross put his hands on a rod and landed three N.B. Spanish Mackerel 5.5kg, 6.38kg,and 6.38kg all were caught on 8kg line class. Good job John.
● Libertine was out there on Saturday and tag and released nine fish the anglers were Joanne Edwards, Adam Edwards and G. Sellar. Well done to all that had a go.

● Well Sunday was a better day for all that took part. Black Label was out there with their junior team Lachlan Seeto and Kaitlyn Seeto. The two of them must have had their work cut out for them. Between the two of them, they landed fourteen fish. Which gave Lachlan a points score of 273.32 and Kaitlyn’s score was 138.33. Well do two the both of you for all your hard work.
● Well Libertine had another go on Sunday tagging and releasing six more fish the angler was Joanne Edwards, she scored herself another 195 points. Very well done.
● Satisfaction was back out on Sunday, they had a total of seven tag and releases. Phillip Franklin had one tag and release, Aysha Franklin had five tag and releases, and two captures a Dogtooth Tuna 3.6kg on 8kg line class and 3.3kg Skipjack Tuna caught on 6kg line class, Louise Franklin had one tag and release. What a good day had by all.
● NuzuNuzu also had a go on Sunday, Cathy landed a N.B. Mackerel weighing in at 1.80kg caught on 6kg line class. Every little bit helps.
● Hi Tide were out having ago, Peter Deizmann had three tag and releases and weighed one N.B. Mackerel 8.3kg caught on 6kg line class and a Wahoo 8.6kg caught on 24kg line class. Well done Peter and the team on Hi Tide.
● Tornado found the fish on Sunday both Julie and Ken Burke weighed in N.B. Mackerel. They had a total of eight Mackerel and one Trevally weighing in at 2.5kg on 6kg line class. Very good
● Witchdoctors had fun on Sunday, Joshua Fischer tag and release a Sailfish estimate weight of 30kg on 10kg line class and two other tag and releases. Robert Howden weighed in a Whaler Shark 7.9kg on 15kg line and a tag and release. Kathy Howden had two tag and releases. Very well done everyone.
● Ratchet found a good school of Skipjack Tuna and Andrew had fun with his 3kg rod. Andrew landed eleven Skippy’s, one Yellowfin Tuna and tagged and released two Whaler Sharks and a Dolphin Fish.Well done Andrew.
● Reel Estate found the fish on Sunday also. Daphne Pelgen weighed in five Skipjack Tuna, a nice Dolphin Fish 5.5kg caught on 4kg line class and a National Record with her Triple Tail it weighed 2.10kg caught on 4kg line class. Congratulations Daphne. Theo Pelgen landed nine Skipjack Tuna, and Gary Wong weighed in seven more fish to add to his total at the end of the Comp. You have done a great job well done.
