.FAD Locations in the Huon Gulf
Some FADs are anchored on ropes much longer than the depth of water and therefore wander over quite a large area around the anchor point - roughly, positions may vary up to a nautical mile from those listed below. You will notice we have started to indicate variations (Commercial 1).

However we would much appreciate if
members could note positions & brief description/colour of any FADs they see
over this comp weekend & report next week to your webmaster .
Members will be interested also in a report this week from Fisheries that they are planning to put in place 24 new FADs over the next six months. They will be locate 10 miles off the coast in an arc from Tami to Lasanga.
